"Poetry is a story that is so good, it doesn't need complete sentences." -Unknown

Peepy

In a flurry of feathers she takes to the skies,

Powerful wings and beautiful eyes.

This is our Peepy, so fond we have grown,

From duckling to duck, so long we have known

While we race down the hill, our feet feel no pain,

Forever and always it's dusk once again.

As we stare in amazement, we see her go by,

A wonder from God, she surely can fly!

We watch her descend as she lands out of view,

Farewell my Peepy, this was written for you.

You're precious to me,

And you always will be,

A glimpse today,

And a memory forever.

A Summer Evening's Ride

When she gallops along she's faster than fairies,

Not a care in the world, off away past the prairies.

As I hold her soft mane, the wind whips through my hair.

We're best friends forever, and that's all I care.

My heart skips a beat as we leap in the air.

When we land once again, I'm always right there.

For this is my friend, true love she has shown,

From helpless to trusting, so long I have known.

I love you my darling, your soft eyes so caring,

Our adventures await, I know you are daring!

the sound of a wish

Hush hush, they’re coming,

A thunderous roar, with a graceful tune,

They gallop along, dancing on air,

Like notes in a song, they fall into place,

Every step, every beat, every breath,

Listen it’s music, o listen it’s life,

Horses by hundreds all race in the night,

Soft manes a flowing, large eyes a gleaming,

Wonder and beauty, all come from above,

This dream is too good, too good to be true,

I cannot believe it, the sounds I can hear,

Just listen and wait, I hear something grand,

The sound of a wish, painted in my world.

a Starry night

Countless stars,

In glorious splendor,

Proclaim the love,

Of our one Defender
